KOGRI

The Kogri Water Well
This was our second well and it was operational December 7th 2018. This was a very special project as Swedish celebrity/artist Carolina Gynning had designed her own [eau]bottle. As it was premium priced we only needed to sell 1.500 bottles to finance the well. Before installation, the villagers had to walk to a dirty pond full of crocodiles to get their water and the midwife at the health center had abandoned the village as she could not work under those conditions. We were greeted with festive celebrations and it was amazing seeing water rush up from the well. The proud villagers donated a goat to us which would be difficult in the luggage home to Sweden so we donated it at the orphanage in the village of Jirapa where we also handed over toys, clothing and materials we had carried from home.
SAMPINA

The Sampina Water Well
This was our third well and it was operational December 10th 2018. This bottle is part of a well for the 1.212 people who live in the Sampina community in north western Ghana and is located just next to the village CHPS health center where access to clean water is essential for medical staff assisting women giving birth. Previously the closest water was several kilometers away at the Volta river where there are both malaria mosquitoes and river blindness.
A total of 5000 bottles are sold to finance this project. The photos and quotes here were taken in December 2018 when we drilled your well.
The proud villagers donated a big ram to us which would be difficult in the luggage home to Sweden so we donated it at the orphanage in the village of Jirapa where we also handed over toys, clothing and materials we had carried from home.
BULINGIN

The Bulingin Water Well
This well was our first and was operational July 9th 2017. We visited Bulingin again in December 2018 and were greeted by many of the 2.730 villagers who told stories about how life had changed now that they have easy access to water. We also handed over an [eau]bottle to the village chief and there was great amusement about the pictures of the various villagers on the packaging. (bild Tomas skrattar med ålderman). The villagers proudly gave us two guinea fowls, a rooster and several kilograms of yams all of which would be difficult in the luggage home to Sweden so we donated them at the orphanage in the village of Jirapa where we also handed over toys, clothing and materials we had carried from home.
